Abstract
Mobile telephony is an information and communications technology (ICT) that has spread extremely rapidly within society, and this proliferation of the technology can be confirmed by means of various indicators of its popularity. Thus, for example, as far as the number of mobile phones in the European Union (EU) is concerned, the figure surpassed that of land-lines many years ago (Lumio and Sinigaglia, 2003). In Spain, the most spectacular increase occurred in the 1990s.
